Jenny Jonker, MSW, RSW

Jenny is a certified cognitive behavioural therapist who provides a wide range of services to children, youth, and adults. She practices other therapeutic modalities and believes in the importance of being genuine and simply human with people in a session.

She has a wide range of counselling experience aiding the mental health of students as a school social worker. She also has a background in child welfare and has worked for many years with survivors of sexual abuse.

Jenny immigrated to Canada at the age of 5 as a refugee from Nicaragua. She used her lived experience to help refugees and immigrants in settlement services as well as other newcomers adjust to life in the country for many years.

Additionally, she has experience working with Indigenous populations, helping them treat the lasting effects of intergenerational trauma.

Her passion for working with individuals within the social work field led her to return to school to complete her BSW and MSW in social work. This allowed her to provide more specialized services to a wider array of people.

Jenny is an avid traveler, believing that travel is the greatest teacher. Her adventurous nature and love for the outdoors have led her to some crazy but inspiring achievements. One of which is successfully climbing to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Jenny's session fee is $195.00 for individual counselling services provided.
